Biography

Dr Russo is cardiac surgeon and a health care executive. Currently, is the Sr VP, Medical Affairs at HVH Analytics. In addition he is Consultant for One Home Care Solutions, managing 500,000 lives (Human delegation) in South FL and seats on the advisory board of several companies, including Datycs (www.datycs.com) that offers advanced NLP and ML solutions From November 2017 to June 2019 he was the CMO at BehaveCare (www.BehaveCare.us), a Population Health Management Organization that manages high cost, high risk, high need patients, From 6/2016 to 11/2017 I was VP of Health Services and Medicare Designated Medical Director at Harvard Pilgrim Health Care in Boston, responsible for medical cost management (including developing bundles) and oversight of UM, network medical management, medical policies, advanced disease management programs. He was also Lecturer at Harvard MS and Council Chair and Board member of the MHQP (http://www.mhqp.org/). He designed an advanced disease management program for HPHC/ Medicare members (care at home, comprehensive medication management, remote monitoring, virtual visits, and palliative care). He supported two "Hospital at Home" programs and collaborated with several Informatics team in developing predictive analytics to facilitate risk adjusted interventions. From October 2007 to March 2016, he was Medical Director at IBC, Philadelphia, where he also designed a DM program for HF, (predictive analytics, RPM, and bundled payments for SNF). From 1988 to 2007, Dr Russo held academic, clinical and administrative leadership positions in CT surgery and Heart Transplantation in Philadelphia and at the University of Missouri, and he taught a health management course for an MBA program offered by WSB/ISB. Dr Russo, is author a coauthor of more than 55 peer publications and more than 100 meeting abstracts.
